6 Wizarding World Easter Eggs

By | March 30, 2017

It’s the season for Easter eggs – and by Easter eggs, I mean hidden references and secrets that are always so exciting to find. One of the best theme park lands for nerds to seek out Easter eggs is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which is overflowing with hidden references. Check out my favorite Wizarding World Easter eggs.

Outside Diagon Alley on the London Waterfront, you’ll find a red telephone booth. Dial 62442 to hear a message from the Ministry of Magic.

On one shelf you’ll see Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder. Cycling across the ceiling, you’ll also see a toy that looks suspiciously like Dolores Umbridge.

Take a turn into Knockturn Alley and venture inside Bourgin & Burke’s. Next to the cashier area you can see the Vanishing Cabinet. Listen closely and you can hear a bird chirping inside.

When you enter King’s Cross Station to board the Hogwarts Express, you may notice a large perfume ad on the wall. This ad is nearly the same as a scene with Harry and Dumbledore from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts has a beautifully detailed queue. One Easter egg you can spot is in Bill Weasley’s office, where you can spot a photo of the Weasley family on their vacation to Egypt.

There are even more secrets to be discovered at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, because this is just a sampling of all the details layered into the area. Be sure to plan plenty of time to explore and take it all in!
