Be Our Guest Restaurant at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is one of the resort’s most popular dining destinations. While the restaurant is table-service at dinner, it is quick-service for breakfast and lunch. Due to its popularity, it’s the only quick-service restaurant at Walt Disney World that offers reservations, and they are highly recommended. We visited on a recent trip for lunch.
With a reservation for Be Our Guest Restaurant lunch, guests can place their order for Be Our Guest ahead of time in their My Disney Experience account. While you can still wait and order when you arrive for your reservation, I recommend placing your order online ahead of time. We ordered online and the line for pre-orders was much shorter than the line to order at the restaurant. After checking in, we confirmed our order and the Cast Member asked if we wanted to make any changes (we didn’t). We were then free to choose a table, get drinks from the drink stations, and pick up silverware and napkins to take to our table.
The interior of this restaurant makes it feel like you’ve stepped into the film with the sheer amount of detail – I always love seeing it snow outside the ballroom. On previous visits we had sat in the ballroom and West Wing areas of the restaurant, so we chose to sit in the Rose Gallery this time. This room is on the right side of the ballroom. Unlike the other two it’s not based on a particular place in the Beast’s castle, but instead is decorated with paintings and tapestries of characters from the film. The centerpiece is a figure of Belle and the Beast dancing.
After about 15 minutes a Cast Member brought our food to our table. We’ve always enjoyed the food at Be Our Guest Restaurant, and this time was no exception. It is a bit more expensive than what you might see for similar items elsewhere in the park, but nowhere else in the park has décor like Be Our Guest.
My dad and I had the Croque Monsieur. It’s a large portion with lots of pommes frites, and we enjoyed it.
Unfortunately some photos did not turn out from our visit, but my sister had the French Onion Soup which she thoroughly enjoyed. My mom got the Braised Pork Coq au Vin Style – she’s had it before and enjoyed it so much that she wanted to get it again.
And of course we have to get dessert as well. The Master’s Cupcake is the one you’ll want to get if you want to try the Grey Stuff. My sister enjoyed the Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcake. This one isn’t pictured, but my parents always get the Lemon-Raspberry Crème Puff, which has no sugar added and is gluten free.
Be Our Guest Restaurant is a busy place, and at lunch there are always guests moving around to find tables and get drinks, so there it can be noisy inside. If you don’t want to splurge on dinner here, though, it’s a great way to still visit, have good food, and get to explore the incredible theming inside.
