Walt Disney World has so many amazing dining options that you may wonder why you would opt to eat at a bowling alley restaurant during your trip – but it’s actually a great idea! Splitsville is a bowling alley that also houses a full-service restaurant, and after hearing so many great things about it, I visited with a fellow travel agent to give it a try.
Splitsville is located in the West Side of Disney Springs, next to the AMC Theater. It was early lunch time on a week day, so there were only a few other people there when we arrived for lunch, most of them bowling. You can opt to just bowl or just dine in the restaurant (or do both, of course). We were there for lunch, so we were seated on the restaurant side.
I was particularly excited about the sushi, so I tried the Ninja Crunch roll, made with fried salmon, Kani Kama krab, tempura crunch, and salmon drizzled with spicy mayo and eel sauce. The roll was enormous, fresh-tasting, and flavorful. I would definitely stop back here just for the sushi.
My friend got the Ahi Tuna Salad, another item you wouldn’t expect to see at a bowling alley. It comes with avocado, mixed greens, and an Asian Pear dressing. I tasted a bit of the tuna and it had a clean, fresh taste, and was great with the sweet-tangy dressing.
I was impressed with the quality and variety available at Splitsville. In a place that has so many delicious restaurants available, Splitsville is a solid choice, whether you’re there to bowl or just for the food.
