It’s the season for Easter eggs – and by Easter eggs, I mean hidden references and secrets that are always so exciting to find. Walt Disney World is such a great place for nerds looking for layers of detail and story, and Hollywood Studios is no different. Here are some of my favorite Hollywood Studios Easter eggs.
One of the most secret-filled place at Hollywood Studios is the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, with references to many episodes from the television show. Two of my favorites you can see in the queue and pre-show.
As you walk through the lobby of the Hollywood Tower Hotel, look for a pair of broken glasses on the desk, a reference to the episode ‘Time Enough at Last’.
In the pre-show room with the video of Rod Serling, look around the uppermost shelf to find the fortune teller machine from the episode ‘Nick of Time’.
There are plenty of other fun Hollywood Studios Easter eggs to find, as well. Outside the entrance to the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, there’s a rope and a sign that says Do Not Pull. Go ahead and pull.
Above the entrance to Hollywood & Vine, look for the office of Eddie Valiant, the detective from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
In the queue for Star Tours, Star Wars fans will find plenty to enjoy, including spotting C-3PO and R2D2 in the queue. As you enter the Cargo Bay, below you can spot Captain Rex, the droid that captained the original Star Tours attraction before it was revamped into Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.
Guests can also see luggage as it goes through X-ray screening, and there are many different Star Wars, Disney, and Pixar-related references that pop up on here, including Buzz Lightyear, Mickey Mouse gloves, Stormtrooper armor, and more.
