Universal Orlando Easter Eggs

By | April 6, 2017

It’s the season for Easter eggs – and by Easter eggs, I mean hidden references and secrets that are always so exciting to find.  Universal Orlando has a number of Easter eggs throughout the parks. Because the Wizarding World of Harry Potter includes so many secrets and references, I have them separately here. Here are some of my favorite Universal Orlando Easter eggs.

In the New York area of the park, you’ll see a statue of Lew Wasserman, the MCA chairman that greenlit the construction of Universal Studios Florida.

Check out the menus in the Fast Food Boulevard food court of Springfield, USA and you’ll find references to specific Simpsons episodes, such as the Mother Nature Burger and the Ribwich.

Early on the Revenge of the Mummy ride, in the treasure room, look to the left to see a gold statue of King Kong. This is a tribute to the original King Kong attraction that was replaced by Revenge of the Mummy.

In MEN IN BLACK: Alien Attack, look for a figure sitting on a bench reading a newspaper and wearing a Jurassic Park baseball cap. This is a reference to director Steven Spielberg, although in the ride when he lowers the newspaper it’s actually a three-headed alien.
